The National Library of Sri Lanka and 25 other public libraries have been developed as model digital libraries covering all districts of the island.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the National Library and Documentation Services Board, the Information and Communication Technology Agency and the relevant local authorities yesterday (3).
It also allows the public to browse information about user books they want online and to book, books in advance.

தேசிய நூலகம் மற்றும் ஆவணச் சேவைகள் வாரியம், தகவல் மற்றும் தொடர்பாடல் தொழில்நுட்ப நிறுவனம் மற்றும் சம்பந்தப்பட்ட உள்ளுராட்சி அமைப்புகளுக்கு இடையில் நேற்று (3) புரிந்துணர்வு ஒப்பந்தம் கைச்சாத்திடப்பட்டது.
பொதுமக்கள் தாங்கள் விரும்பும் பயனர் புத்தகங்கள் பற்றிய தகவல்களை Online இல் உலாவவும், புத்தகங்களை முன்கூட்டியே முன்பதிவு செய்யவும் இது அனுமதிக்கிறது.
